Our latest series of Drive Thru History with Dave Stotts® tells the story of Jesus from the locations recorded in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Dave travels to over 50 ancient sites in Israel to deliver the Gospels in a fresh way, show the evidence for the truth of scripture, and encourage families to get excited about reading the Bible again.
Hillsdale College approached us with the idea of creating video around their choir’s beautiful rendition of “America the Beautiful”. We loved the idea and after several brainstorms produced a piece we hoped would inspire viewers. After Hillsdale’s July 4th release the video went viral and was picked up by a number of online news outlets. In one week it had over 700,000 views on Youtube and Facebook.
Featuring the Hillsdale College Choir, this video was created to honor America’s fallen with the utmost respect and gratitude. Released through Hillsdale’s social media platforms on Memorial Day weekend, the video garnered over 3.3 million views, and 147,000 shares within one week.
The heart of the message in this piece is something that is foundational for everyone at ColdWater Media. We all believe we were called by God to do the kind of work we do here, and we are always mindful of what a blessing that is. We love the work we get to do and absolutely view it as a form of worship. Also, having produced several extensive projects on God’s view of work, freedom and economics, we were all very familiar with the principles that needed to be communicated. The message really came from our heart and that made the development process very enjoyable.
